Bridgeport Bluefish and Evergreen Network Celebrate "Christmas In July"!


The Bridgeport Bluefish and Evergreen Network celebrated “Christmas in July” at Harbor Yard last month. The Bluefish asked fans to come to the ballpark with a toy or a game for a Bridgeport youngster in need. The Bluefish collected some 400 gifts which were given to the Evergreen Network for distribution. Santa’s “helpers” pictured above are (left to right) Kelly Bell and Kate Billings, Bluefish staffers; Adaline DeMarrais, founder and executive director of the Evergreen Network, and Tim Carr and Larry Stewart, also of the Bluefish organization.

Evergreen Celebrates Our 15th Annual Family Summer Picnic!


Evergreen Network's 15th annual family summer picnic this past Sunday on the grounds of Fairfield University was a smashing success!!

Beautiful weather combined with a beautiful setting and wonderful friends made the day very special. Our clients and their families were able to relax and enjoy a day outdoors with delicious food, a raffle, family games and a sprinkler for the children.

Thanks to the generous support of our supporters Evergreen was able to provide extra food for over 120 clients and their families to take home, raffle prizes such as electric fans (much needed in hot weather), and wonderful games and activities for the children.

Evergreen would especially like to thank Fairfield University and our volunteers for making this year's picnic the best one yet. We couldn't have done it without you!!

Musician Caithlin De Marrais Collaborates with Evergreen Network!

Evergreen Network would like to thank the generous fans of music recording artist Caithlin De Marrais for their support. Caithlin has asked her fans to make a donation to Evergreen in honor of the first single "The Fire" from her upcoming album, My Magic City.

Evergreen is proud to work in collaboration with Caithlin and the wonderful folks at End Up, an artist collective which does non-profit work in Brooklyn, NY.

Friends Through the Seasons


Evergreen Network provides crucial support services for our clients throughout the seasons. We come through for our families, bridging the gap when cutbacks in federal aid - including the food stamp program - and increases in utility costs impact our clients.

Evergreen provides food to over 50 people at our meetings every week--lunch at our regular women's and grandmother's group meetings, dinners at men and women's groups, and snacks for the children in conjunction with our flagship "Sunshine Kids" program.

Evergreen also provides emergency food gift cards to our clients in crisis.

We are accepting food gift cards from Stop & Shop Supermarket, or Shaw's Supermarkets Inc. When you go food shopping and you want to directly help a hungry person, please pick up a food gift card--$5, $10, $25, $50--and mail to:

20 Years of Service and Compassion


Evergreen Network is pleased to announce our 20th year anniversary!

Since the beginning of the pandemic, ENI has provided services and relief for those affected by HIV/AIDS and their extended families in the greater Bridgeport CT area.

Evergreen lead the way in providing the nation's very first children's support group, "The Sunshine Kids", for children orphaned or affected by HIV/AIDS.

"The Sunshine Kids" along with our women's, our grandmother's, and men's groups, have been meeting on a continual basis for these 20 years.

This past Christmas, ENI was able to serve 87 families with 120 children and 158 adults!

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank all our generous supporters, volunteers, and our client families for their continuing efforts and inspiration.
