The Bridgeport Bluefish and Evergreen Network celebrated “Christmas in July” at Harbor Yard last month. The Bluefish asked fans to come to the ballpark with a toy or a game for a Bridgeport youngster in need. The Bluefish collected some 400 gifts which were given to the Evergreen Network for distribution. Santa’s “helpers” pictured above are (left to right) Kelly Bell and Kate Billings, Bluefish staffers; Adaline DeMarrais, founder and executive director of the Evergreen Network, and Tim Carr and Larry Stewart, also of the Bluefish organization.

Evergreen Celebrates Our 15th Annual Family Summer Picnic!

Evergreen Network's 15th annual family summer picnic this past Sunday on the grounds of Fairfield University was a smashing success!!

Beautiful weather combined with a beautiful setting and wonderful friends made the day very special. Our clients and their families were able to relax and enjoy a day outdoors with delicious food, a raffle, family games and a sprinkler for the children.

Thanks to the generous support of our supporters Evergreen was able to provide extra food for over 120 clients and their families to take home, raffle prizes such as electric fans (much needed in hot weather), and wonderful games and activities for the children.

Evergreen would especially like to thank Fairfield University and our volunteers for making this year's picnic the best one yet. We couldn't have done it without you!!
